Dianne Kerr, Ph.D., associate professor of health education and promotion in the College of Education, Health and Human Services and Provost’s Faculty Associate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, is the recipient of the Society for Public Health Education’s Dorothy B. Nyswander Open Society Award. Kerr was presented with the award at the society’s National Conference Awards Gala in Charlotte, North Carolina, held this spring.

The ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
