More than 2,300 ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ graduates call Cleveland Clinic their workplace. The internationally renowned healthcare system, with sprawling facilities across Northeast Ohio and beyond, employs ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State alumni from a large array of academic disciplines. 

More than 700 ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State graduates work at Progressive Insurance, based in Mayfield, Ohio. The company has diverse hiring needs and it has found strong matches while recruiting at career fairs on the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Campus.

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State hosted the inaugural Innovation Day 2023, a collaborative effort of the Northeast Ohio Public University Research Alliance. The event served as a venue for innovators, faculty members and students from different disciplines and institutions to advance research and Ohio's position at the forefront of innovation.

LaunchNET ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State, an entrepreneurship resource for ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ students, faculty, staff and alumni, received a $40,000 grant from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation to create a 2023 microgrants program for student- and alumni-owned businesses.

With help from a LaunchNET microgrant, Justine Gallo, BA '22, a graduate of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State's School of Fashion, has launched a new sustainable business in downtown ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´.

 In response to a request from Intel^®, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ is leading a network that includes 13 partner higher education institutions throughout Northeast Ohio who are poised to prepare a workforce for 21st-century careers.

Two decades ago, the seeds of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´â€™s downtown revitalization were planted and a new era of cooperation between the city and the university was born. Today, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State President Todd Diacon and ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ City Manager Dave Ruller continue to maintain the fruitful relationship that has benefitted both the city and the university. 

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Skates, presented by AMETEK, is a key initiative between ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State and ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ partners to create a more vibrant place to live, work and play.

As director of Main Street ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´, Heather Rohwedder Malarcik, BA ’96, creates year-round marketing efforts for local businesses, champions historical preservation and plans regular events that drive traffic to downtown and help the business community succeed. 

In a partnership between ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State's College of Public Health and the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ City Health Department, students worked in interdisciplinary teams and developed a pilot program for a "virtual senior center" to help senior citizens stay engaged with their community.

The city of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ and ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ now share a sustainability coordinator to help them implement their sustainability plans.

as government representatives at the federal and state level.
