How Social Media Impacts Relationships (Lunch and Learn)

Smartphone, Smart TV, etablet, eReader, Apple, HP, Android, to name a few. Then there is Google, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, IM, Flicker, YouTube, Yelp, Pinterest, etc. – welcome to the world of social media.

Gone are the family dinner table discussions. In this workshop, you will define social media and identify its uses and audiences. On Thursday, June 16, from noon to 1 p.m. at Heer Hall, you can explore the latest disorder known as social media anxiety disorder, or SMAD, and discuss the role social media could have on one's self-image and relational skills. The presenter is Terri O'Reilly, Impact Solutions.

Registration is required and space is limited. A light lunch will be served to all attendees.

2024-2025 December/January Holiday Schedule

�þ��ҹ��ӰԺ��ѹۿ�'s holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
