Special Programs

The School of Art has developed programs over the years which enrich the student experience beyond the curriculum presented in the classroom or studio. Once the students have mastered the foundational concepts of their individual programs, they are encouraged to participate to a greater degree in several special programs offered through the school. Programs such as the Visiting Artist and Scholar Lecture Series (First Friday Talks), �þ��ҹ��ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Blossom Art Intensives, Art Enrichment kids' art classes, and the Textile Art Summer Workshops are open to community participation.

�þ��ҹ��ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Blossom Art Intensives are a series of two-week studio art intensives conducted each summer at �þ��ҹ��ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State by resident School of Art faculty and an exciting array of visiting artists.

Travel Study

The School of Art offers several travel study programs each year. Trips to New York City are offered every semester and students have the opportunity to study art history in Florence, Italy each summer. Other domestic and international destinations are offered based on faculty initiatives. Each program is designed to enhance the student's learning experience by modeling professional practice, museum study, and other cultural experiences.

Visiting Artist and Scholar Lecture Series

The Visiting Artist and Scholar Lecture Series provides several opportunities each semester for visiting artists and �þ��ҹ��ӰԺ��ѹۿ� faculty to share work and current scholarship with colleagues and students.

Art Enrichment Program

Art Enrichment is a hands-on experience and community outreach program offered by the Art Education division. Each semester, a fresh group of children in grade levels 1 - 6 come to campus after school to experience inventive, cutting-edge curriculum provided by our undergraduate students in Art Education.
