Sixteen years later, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State alumna Emilia Sykes, a native of Akron, Ohio, was elected to represent the same district, making her the first Black ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State alum to serve in the House of Representatives.
