�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State's International Student and Scholar Services, with the Office of Global Education, invited the university's international students and their families to come together at summer luncheon on campus. 

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�’s College of Public Health is the only fully accredited public health college to offer an undergraduate pathway to clinical trials research, a rapidly expanding segment of the healthcare job market.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� is taking a big step forward in its ecological and evolutionary research with the establishment of its new on-campus Outdoor Vivarium for Oviparous Microbiomes – a dynamic new aviary facility located on the eastern edge of the �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Campus near a thriving wetland.

The Center for Advanced Air Mobility within �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State's College of Aeronautics and Engineering fosters research, testing and development of safe, efficient and sustainable solutions for passenger and cargo aircraft using autonomous aircraft technology. 

There's music in the summer breezes at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State as the annual �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Blossom Music Festival welcomes students from the U.S. and abroad to study with world class musicians to campus. 

In a quiet office at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, Michele Curran Cornell spends her weekdays immersed in history — not the kind found in textbooks, but the kind that impacts families and honors those who gave everything for our country. 

Honors College helped recent graduate John Comi build a sense of community as well as meet his financial obligations. 

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� will be closed July 4 to observe Independence Day. No classes are scheduled on the holiday, and university offices are closed. The university will resume normal operations on July 7.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State Youth Winds had the unique opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. this spring, giving meaningful performances alongside famous monuments and making lasting connections with renowned musicians.

 Once her degree is complete, junior Honors College nursing student Rylie Lapikas likely won't need to wait long to start her career. Ninety-nine percent of �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State nursing students are employed within six months of graduation.

A Mantua woman who worked at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State in the Office of the President from 1951 to 1971 recently celebrated her 110th birthday. She recalls her time at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State and shares a few reflections from her long life. 

Water flowed for the first time in the newly completed Crawford Fountain in the courtyard outside Crawford Hall, home of �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State's Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. 

The Crystal, a three-story, glass atrium and entrance to the Akron Art Museum, provided the perfect backdrop for these diamonds in the rough, a coming-of-age collection manifested in the proud work of multi-talented, middle and high school students from Akron participating in a program designed to illicit self-expression through poetry, art and virtual reality.

The �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Museum presents its summer exhibition titled “Sparkle: The Style and Jewelry of Aileen Mehle.” In honor of the �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Museum’s 40th anniversary, this exhibition pays tribute to Aileen Mehle, a friend of the museum founders and widely syndicated society columnist. 

A group of school administrators from Brazil recently completed the 10-day Design Innovation Change Agent Workshop at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�’s Design Innovation Hub, where they immersed themselves in design innovation techniques as they endeavor to innovate their school system at home.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State Opera Theatre's spring production featured scenes from a selection of famous operas with themes both natural and supernatural. 

The �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Campus.

Three friends who attended schools together their entire lives, beginning at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State’s Child Development Center, have graduated together in �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State’s spring Class of 2025. Now, they are contemplating where their post-graduate lives will take them and how they will maintain their close friendship. 

Eleven �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� students are taking part in the university’s Brain Health Research Institute Undergraduate Fellows Program for Summer 2025.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State's College of Aeronautics and Engineering led a fun, immersive field trip for a group of sixth graders from the I Promise School, Akron Public Schools.
