�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� President Beverly J. Warren recently presented 11 �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State staff members with the President’s Award of Distinction. President Warren made surprise visits to each recipient’s office with a hearty congratulations and a check for $1,500.

“Serious transformation is never easy,” she said. “It challenges us to let go of predictable ways and embrace something new and unfamiliar.”

Following a national search, �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� has selected Mary G. Parker, Ed.D., as its inaugural vice president for enrollment management.

Two �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State entrepreneurship students have turned their passion for Louisiana cuisine into a new pop-up restaurant, the Southern Comfort Kitchen. 

Many professors have certain influences that inspire them to teach. For David Kaplan, Ph.D., professor in �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�'s Department of Geography, that inspiration comes from his father.

In her upcoming State of the University address, President Warren will chart one final course for university success, as she spotlights the achievements of the past year and shines a light on �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State’s path for the future.

Set against the backdrop of five decades of dynamic social change, the powerful “BUS at 50 Reloaded” photography exhibit in Ritchie Hall’s Uumbaji Gallery highlights the impact and influence of the Black United Students (BUS) organization at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� since its founding in 1968. The show runs through Nov. 14.
